Against this backdrop, economic activity remains moderate overall and is characterised by mixed signals across different sectors and components of demand. The slowdown in the labour market was accompanied, towards the end of the year, by some signs of recovery in manufacturing and export performance that remained positive, albeit heavily influenced by sector-specific and one-off factors.
