Chiara Bocci, Leonardo Piccini and Patrizia Lattarulo (IRPET) will participate to the conference “Statistics and data science: new challenges, new generations” with the research “Using GPS data to understand urban mobility patterns: An application to the Florence Metropolitan Area”

The conference aims to highlight the crucial role of statistics in data science. The increase in the number of data produced and available in database format brings its own challenges, involving different fields of statistics, such as machine learning, information and computer sciences, optimization, and patter recognition in automatic learning systems.
