1968-2018 – 50th Anniversary of the foundation of IRPET

Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 10.30 at the Sala delle Feste of Palazzo Bastogi in Florence, Via Cavour 18, will be held the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the foundation of IRPET.

It will be an opportunity to retrace the history and look to the future of the Regional Institute for Economic Planning of Tuscany. An occasion to talk about the past, present and future of the Institute through videos, photos and testimonies of the protagonists.

The event is attended by members of the Court of Auditors, the Prefecture of Florence, the Tuscany Region and the Municipality of Florence, the Tuscan universities, the Bank of Italy, Confindustria, the Revenue Agencies and other institutions, academic and scientific world  IRPET works and collaborates with.

The history and work of the IRPET begin with a study, “The Economic Development of Tuscany” by Giacomo Becattini, which still remains a milestone in the analysis of regional economic development and on whose basis today’s activities are based of the institute’s research, whose interpretative capacity lies in the attention to the links between the various aspects of development, both the socio-economic and territorial ones.
