The European Forum on Cohesion will be held on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 in Brussels. Alongside his speech, Enrico Rossi, president of the Tuscany Region, will illustrate to the participants the IRPET research on “The importance of cohesion policy: The Tuscany case study”. The study will also be consigned to the Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Creţu as a testimony of the relevance of cohesion policies even in a developed region like Tuscany, which has received from Europe about 1.5 milliard Euros for the period 2014-2020.

In addition to the intervention of president Rossi, who will take part in the plenary session on globalization, the forum will host the president of the European Commission Jean-Claude Junker, the president of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani, and several European commissioners, among others Jyrki Katainen, responsible for growth and investments, and Corina Creţu, responsible for regional policy. Also representing Italy Claudio De Vincenti, Minister for Territorial Cohesion and the Mezzogiorno, who confirmed his presence.
