Taking stock of the situation of young people in Tuscany who are neither in education nor in employment, and reflecting on the “Talenti in azione” experience, implemented by the Tuscany Region through the European Social Fund+ 2021-2027 regional programme, as part of Giovanisì (the Region’s project for youth autonomy), and dedicated to young people Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEETs). These are the objectives of the conference scheduled in Florence on March 17, 2026, at the Sant’Apollonia Auditorium, Via San Gallo 25, entitled “Territorial alliances and public policies for young people: from local experiments to regional strategies,” organized by the Tuscany Region in collaboration with ANCI Toscana and the University of Florence.
In preparation for developing guidelines for future regional youth initiatives, conference participants will be actively involved through the World Café, a group facilitation technique that uses informality to spark constructive conversations.
Participants will be organized into groups, each of which will be encouraged, through facilitation led by professionals, to generate ideas and proposals around certain strategies/keywords, such as engagement, motivation/participation, outcomes achieved/desired from the programs, and local collaboration networks.
A round table discussion is also planned on youth inclusion and to launch guidelines for the development and publication of a new call for proposals co-financed by the 2021-2027 ESF+ Regional Programme for programs dedicated to young NEETs.
The conference is an initiative funded under the European Social Fund Plus Regional Programme 2021-2027.
