In the complex implementation of PNRR resources, there are interventions that can be recognized as having a more specifically territorial significance, measures that aim to rebalance the territory at various scales—urban, regional, and national. From this perspective, we can look, on the one hand, at the regeneration interventions of cities and urban peripheries in particular, and, on the other, at the territorial redevelopment interventions affecting the most peripheral areas of our country. This dual perspective is also suggested by the post-pandemic debate, which has highlighted a further centrality for cities, which, having overcome the health emergency, have resumed their attractiveness, but also the revitalization of villages, supported by a greater diffusion of digital infrastructure and the spread of remote activities.
