Social cooperation in Tuscany will be the focus of an event scheduled for Thursday, July 10, in Florence, at Palazzo Strozzi Sacrati, in Piazza Duomo 10. The initiative, organized by the Region of Tuscany, aims to be a wide-ranging discussion on the role, characteristics, value, and prospects of the world of cooperation in the Tuscan territory.
“Social cooperation,” emphasizes Serena Spinelli, Regional Councilor for Social Policies, “has always been an important part of the Tuscan economy and community. This initiative aims to analyze this specific area, its connections with Tuscan welfare, its critical issues, and its potential with regard to the sensitive sectors it deals with, from social and health services to educational and cultural services.”
The meeting, in the exhibition hall, will open at 9 a.m. with institutional greetings from the President of the Region, Eugenio Giani, and the Councilor for Social Policies, Serena Spinelli, followed by speeches by Federico Creatini, university professor, Gianfranco Marocchi, editor of the magazine Impresa Sociale, and Letizia Ravagli, IRPET researcher.
This will be followed by a round table discussion with representatives from cooperatives and social partners. The proceedings will be coordinated by Sara Nocentini, head of the secretariat of the Department of Social Policies. The event will conclude (at around 12 noon) with a speech by Councilor Serena Spinelli.
