On Friday, May 16, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m., the Sala Gonfalone of the Palazzo del Pegaso in Florence will host a conference entitled “Cities between beauty and mass tourism: sustainable regulation,” promoted by ALI – Autonomie Locali Italiane (Italian Local Authorities) with the patronage of the Regional Council of Tuscany and in collaboration with the Fondazione Promo PA.

The initiative represents a fundamental step in the national journey of the States General of the City of Beauty, a moment of discussion on the topic of managing large tourist flows in cities of art and the need to find a sustainable balance between heritage enhancement and quality of life.

The conclusions of the event will be presented by: Sara Funaro, Mayor of Florence, and Roberto Gualtieri, Mayor of Rome and National President of ALI.
