Position Paper 18/2023 | February By Nicola Sciclone In drawing up a picture of the activity linked to spas in Tuscany, only the Tuscan municipalities affected by the presence of spas are taken into consideration, which are classified by ISTAT as such on the basis of the prevailing tourist resource. Therefore, the municipalities whose tourist flows are mainly attributable to other resources are not included in the analysis, for example the sea in the case of Portoferraio and Massa, or Montepulciano as a place of historical and artistic interest.
